Zavitz Residence Additions and Alterations

This project involved an existing bungalow on a street of similar houses. In the design phase the architect convinced the client to avoid adding a second floor to the existing house thereby disrupting the overall streetscape. Instead a two storey addition was placed at the rear with the new ground floor placed lower than the existing floor creating a backsplit and lowering the new roofline and any impact on the overall street elevation.
